Mr. Rodney Bernard, General Manger of Doubletree Hotel and Thomas Toliver, Hotel Manager at 15ria restaurant, are pleased to announce Chef Janis Mclean as the new Executive Chef at renowned 15Ria

In 1993, Janis quit her corporate job and ran away to cooking school and hasn’t looked back! She keeps busy both inside and outside the kitchen with a burning passion for cooking tasty seasonal food.

Chef Janis is a graduate of the professional program at L’Acadamie de Cuisine, and trained in France as well. Executive Chef Janis joins 15ria most recently from The Morrison Clark Inn. She also helped launch the Red Dog Café to critical acclaim whereas she served in the capacity of Executive Chef.

Chef Janis can also be seen on the TV Food network hit “Food Fight” as a contestant in one of the DC based episodes. She has also been a guest speaker at several Smithsonian programs. Chef Janis is an active member of Women Chef’s and Restaurateurs, Les Dames d’Escoffier and American Institute of Wine and Food.

Chef Janis challenges herself to make the dining experience of our guests marvelous and memorable by touching tables while strolling throughout the restaurant to find that her dishes are being desired by all. Her diverse seasonal menus keep the restaurant creative and adventurous and guests will love the remarkable new choice.
